Working on Federal jobs is not just about business for DK Haney Roofing, it is our great honor to offer our time and services to help our country in times of need and to offer our expertise in difficult situations.
DK Haney Roofing is an 8(a) Native American owned roofing company. We have performed work on many government facilities and for many different government agencies including The Navy, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Army and Air Force. Our government contracts range from $2,000 to $5,000,000. There is no job too small or too large for us to offer our services.
Hurricane Ivan
The biggest way we can help out is by offering emergency response to disaster situations. We are quick to get in and repair and to keep any further damage from being done. In a disaster situation, time is of the essence. After hurricane Ivan in Pensacola, we responded by securing food, fuel, and lodging for crew and support staff as well as arranging shipment of suppliers materials so we could begin helping immediately. We mobilized 100 employees within 24 hours and installed 250,000 square feet of temporary roofing within 36 hours. We then removed and installed 189,000 square feet of shingles within 6 days.
Hurricane Rita
During hurricane Rita, the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Beaumont, Texas called at 2:00 a.m. We immediately called crews and started securing materials to secure the buildings and keep them dry. We had crews working to install temporary roofing on buildings within 24 hours of the call. This contract was a total of 900,000 square feet of single-ply roofing and we were allotted 12 months for expected completion, but we urgently worked to complete the project in 7 months.
Hurricane Ike
During hurricane Ike the the Federal Bureau of Prisons was hit and we were honored with the call of duty once again. The roofs that we originally installed sustained minor damage and we were able to do the necessary repairs to the original 900,000 square feet of roofing we installed to keep them dry.
The Navy
The Navy came to us on a special project for the chapel on the NCBC base in Gulfport MS. This was originally a single-ply roof and they wanted a metal roof installed over the single-ply. This meant installing framework, which is known as a Metal Retrofit. This roof was not your traditional roof, it was shell shaped with multiple curves and slopes. During the process, we noticed a design flaw in the layout of the roof and worked closely with The Navy and metal manufacturer to come up with a solution. We solved this problem and completed the project with high accolades from both the metal manufacturer and The Navy.
Our Commitment
Due to our integrity and perseverance, we have gained a lot of trust within our government. Our past performance has given us a solid foundation and we continue to expand our capabilities to be on-call and ready for duty as we move into the future.
